Fred Jones' former bandmates steal the show at Sterling High School's Battle of the Bands on March 15, 2012. The Funky Judges -- Jamie Walsh, Jimmy Biggs, Jim Falciani, Joe Schrull, Skip Wasilewski and Bill Zeller -- perform a couple a Cappella tunes just moments before the six judges submitted their ballots and the inaugural "Freddie" Award was presented to the winner of the Battle of the Bands. Jones, who passed away in 2010 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer, was a Philadelphia/South Jersey music icon for a half-century as a solo performer and with popular bands The Illusions, The Hustlers, The Common Pleas, Hubba Hubba, Star, Jones and Falcone, and Studebaker.
